It seems like that's something you and I have in common, Mary Ellen. Some people get depressed when it is too rainy and dark, I get depressed when it's too sunny and light!! My father says that it's the Scot in me.

"Harebrained musings." Hmmm? Need to think on that one. Leaning that way. Too harsh and severe, you may say.

BUT!

Good intention soft sell and larders of sweet nothings do not make for compellling reading.

One cannot hit it out of the park every time at bat. I’m sorry this one disappointed you.

I'm a grouch:) Sorry!

Yours is good work. Toughen up the fine touch. Bite adds interest. And try authentic humor. It's rare nowadays and mostly contrived.

Too much artificial sweetner, and I complain about the bad taste of saccharine.

I really am sorry for my Oscar routine.

Constructive criticism is always helpful. Thanks. No worries about the Oscar vibe, we're good. :)

Good for you.

BS "constructive criticism is always helpful."

Even bad criticism makes for strength.

It forces you to fight.

Gotta be strong.

No time for self pity.

No one will hear it.

No one cares.

Feeling sorry for yourself incites the wrath of our sick-unto-death society, which you and I cannot make whole with all the power of language. Abuse of language/abuse of power is like a sword and shield. Master it; do not shy away from it. Well-aimed abuse can set the world free. Sounds Nietzschean. Not weak, for sure.
