I'm having a ball following along with your book recs the past few months. I love to read and most of these titles are new to me. I tried I'd Rather Be Reading a couple years ago and abandoned it thinking it had nothing new for me, but I recently tried it again and found many chapters that were surprisingly original. I'm currently in the middle of The Religious Body and LOVING it. So thank you!

I’ve always enjoyed the culinary “murder mysteries“ by Diane Mott Davidson. Her main character is named Goldy Schulz who is an amateur detective and runs a catering business in the fictional town of Aspen Meadow, CO. There are 17 or 18 books in the series, and I think the best part of the books is that she includes a great deal of recipes.

Unfortunately, Ms. Davidson wrote the last book in the series in 2013. Hopefully, she may someday write another book!
