I know a man whose father-in-law got his wife up everyday and they just sat together on the couch all day. This went on for 8 years until his wife died.
This is beautiful and brought tears to my eyes. I lost my maternal grandmother to Alzheimer’s a few years ago, so this truly hits home for me (although my grandmother was a widow long before the disease took hold). Thank you for sharing this glimpse into what true love looks like.
