Between starting up the homeschool, prepping for a business trip, prepping for a few podcast guests who have written books (meaning I have to read the books), writing a syllabus for a co-op class I’m teaching and a few other things I decided to take a short class on the Letter of Paul to the Romans offered by a priest, who happens to be a biblical scholar, visiting my parish for a month.
I really don’t have time for this.
I wanted to do it because one of my favorite classes in college was on the letters of Paul. I took the class because it fit into my schedule and I needed a theology credit that semester, not out of any deep desire to study the letters of Paul. As a matter of fact I remember thinking “how hard can this be?”
Yeah, I was that dumb even as a cradle Catholic.
