I saw a post on Instagram that said that the poster was over “election, hurricane, wartime, dark at five, pumpkin season”.
I get it. While I'm a big fan of shorter days and all the cozy things they bring, the stress of the last several weeks has been enormous on so many people.
Hurricane Milton passed without incident through my son’s college town, for which I am grateful, however, the images being shared on social media of the devastation in North Carolina and Tennessee are heartbreaking.
We are still in hurricane season and Nor’easters crop up here all year long.
Don’t get me started on the election.
