I recently had to send a meal to someone. Granted it was via Door Dash which is a little strange for someone who is used to showing up at the door with a casserole. However, a meal delivered by a local restaurant is still a good thing for someone in need.
It recalled the months after Ryan passed away and the extraordinary level of care we experienced from our community and beyond. Understandably I was barely able to cope with the day-to-day details of life in those terrible weeks. I had a nursing eight-month-old, twin two-year-olds, and a bunch of older children who were heartbroken. Getting dinner on the table just seemed like too much to deal with or think about. It turns out I didn’t have to.
