The Secrets of Midwives – Sally Hepworth

Welcome to Book Talk, where I share what I’ve been reading lately to interest people in books and to learn what you, my readers, are currently reading.  This satisfies my need to talk about books and not leave my house and interact with actual people. It’s an introvert’s dream come true.

I read The Secrets of Midwives sometime in August and it led to me reading just about everything Sally Hepworth has written.  That being said, I didn’t love this one mostly because the character Grace annoyed me.  I liked it enough to read a few more and then eventually everything but still…

Does that happen to anyone else? You start to regard the character in a book as a real person and their bad decisions or annoying personality plagues you as if they were in the room with you?

Just me?

It can ruin a whole book for me.
